The Stihl MS171 Chainsaw is one of the latest models to be launched by Stihl in their "New Generation Range". Machines in this range employ the latest technology offering low vibration figures as well as reduced exhaust fumes and noise emissions over previous models. The latest features on the MS171 also make this saw kinder to the users pocket - by way of a 20% reduction in fuel consumption over the previous ms170 chain saw model.

The Stihl MS171 is ideal for all-round use on general cutting, pruning, and felling jobs in the garden, or workplace. This saw is available with a choice of two chain and bar sizes - 12" (30cm) or 14" (35cm). The standard cutting chain is an "oilomatic 3/8 P Picco Micro Mini Comfort 3" chain.
